1994. The year that saw Sony Playstation, The Shawshank Redemption and Wonderwall blast onto the scene also set the stage for two brothers, Doug and Robert Bordt, to cross the Rocky Mountains from Alberta, settling down in British Columbia, and start a little business called Apex Granite and Tile. Little did they know that within two decades, their company would climb to the top of in the industry in Western Canada.

Who we are.
Mike and Steve Bordt grew up in their father's business. Along with their multiplication tables, they learned about the difference between quartz and granite, the proper technique to lay tile, install flooring like vinyl, laminate, and hardwood, and how to properly care for every kind of stone. In 2018, they took the reins and launched the company into its next phase of growth: with a focus on optimizing processes and technology, all while keeping the customer's needs central.
